The Devil’s Violin

Based on a Roma gypsy tale of desire and longing, this surreal and powerful collection was created over 9 months during 2008-2009 and consisted of a series of assemblages, film and Flamenco music and dance. The Devil’s Violin was a profilic venture, with over 100 items hand-crafted to form the final collection.

It was this collection that drew the attention of the Caitlin Art Prize in 2010.

Most of the pieces are purchased and the collection is no longer exhibited or performed. The  iconic pieces pictured here are available as one offs, The Devil’s Violin itself has 2 [0f 5] commissions remaining.
